Smoking Bans in Ireland Reduce Coronary Heart Disease Deaths
Next year, smoking will be banned in UK pubs, clubs and workplaces. The ban should result in a drop in deaths from coronary artery heart disease. Ireland, which banned smoking in public places in 2004, has already observed a 50% decrease, partly attributable to lifestyle changes, especially smoking and diet.
I don’t think anyone needs to reminded of the deadly effects of smoking.

I wish the US would follow suit. I know that is not popular to say but I get tired of going to dinner and then come out of the restauraunt smelling like smoke when I don’t even smoke. I don’t want my daughter to have to breathe it either. And no I don’t want to have to stay in my house just because I want to breathe clean air.

kellys: You’re popular with me for saying so! I’m originally from California where there is a smoking ban. Hooray!
