Hearty Habits #14: The Many F’s of Fitness
The most creative set of Hearty Habits so far, Ruth Schaffer of Eating Fabulous shares the F’s of health and fitness.
Fresh Fruit: lots of them. the more colorful the platter, the better.
Fish: at least once a week.
Friends: for my mental health. keep the good, toss the bad, hehe..
Family Fun: My kid keeps me fit. Physically, psychologically, even intellectually at times. We also take long breaks as a family and stock up on our “happiness hormones” (which I desperately need especially during winter, arrgh!)I am planning to add two more F’s:
Fitness: I just purchased a new pair of running shoes. A run around the block after I drop my kid off kindergarted should be a good start.
Folic Acid supplement: According to my personal nutritionist (my husband will be completing his PhD in Nutrition/Pharmacology), it’s the only nutrient we can’t get enough of from food. And no, it’s not just for pregnant women. Supposed to be good for the brain. And gee, I need all the help I can get, haha!
Thanks, Ruth! Now the mind challenge will be if anyone can compile a similar list with another letter of the alphabet!
