Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s Heart Problem
Oh, dear! Check out this video of former Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi collapsing at a rally in Tuscany. Mr. Berlusconi is 70-years-old and is in the hospital intensive care unit for monitoring.
He said to reporters:
They found something on the electrocardiogram, something like an irregular heartbeat, so they want to keep me under observation for 24 hours.
Although Romano Prodi beat Mr. Berlusconi in national elections this past April, Mr. Berlusconi has continued to oppose proposed budget cuts. It’s unclear whether his physical heart will allow him to stay so active in politics even if he wants to in his heart of hearts.
